Guest: Chris Martinez

COL Chris Martinez, an Assistant Professor at the National Defense University is a seasoned Military Intelligence officer with a career spanning over 25 years. He earned his BS in Business from the University of Delaware and his MBA from Syracuse University. He commissioned through the Army ROTC program in 1998.


Chris has served across the world, from  Afghanistan, Bosnia, Belgium to Kuwait, Korea, and more. He’s held high-level roles, including serving as commander of the 650th MI Group in Belgium and as Senior Planner for the U.S. Army G-2. His extensive expertise in Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence is supported by four NATO assignments and a prior role as a Special Agent with the FBI.


An accomplished academic, COL Martinez has been published in numerous media outlets, including the New York Times and Military Review. He carries a profound family legacy of over 145 years of combined U.S. Army service across multiple generations. Currently, he resides in Maryland.
